Graffiti at Carroll ISD Buildings
On September 3rd, 2020, the Southlake Police Department was alerted to another occurrence of damage (graffiti) to CISD buildings and property. For the second time since the beginning of this school year, an unknown person tagged school buildings with spray paint – this time at the High School and Durham Intermediate campuses.
To be clear, this crime is classified as a state jail felony offense due to the extent of the graffiti. The Southlake Police Department takes the investigation of these crimes very seriously. We are currently working with our law enforcement partner agencies to identify, locate and hold accountable the individual responsible for these acts.
We successfully filed a similar case of vandalism at the Senior High School with the Tarrant County Juvenile District Attorney’s Office earlier this year, and we are committed to the same result with the crime that occurred this morning.
As with other cases, we are asking for the community’s help to identify the suspect in this offense. Over the last few years, our requests for assistance have generated hundreds of responses that have resulted in bringing many criminals to justice.
